عِلْمٌ يَبْحَثُ فِي إِحْصَاءِ عَدَدِ الآيَاتِ فِي سُوَرَةٍ أَوْ فِي القُرْآنِ كُلِّهِ مَعَ بَيَانِ أَوَّلِ الآيَةِ وَنِهَايَتِهَا.
Counting verses: A science that deals with counting the number of verses in a certain surah or in the entire Qur’an, along with identifying the beginning and the end of each verse.
